Part “A” Deliverables – You will complete the following:  

1. Now that you have knowledge of what constitutes a “good” headline, you are to create specific and detailed prompts. Please include the specific prompts you utilized to generate the three (3) headlines. These prompts must be based on class content. We spoke about this in detail in class. Explain in detail the following:  

a. List the initial prompt you started with and a detailed explanation of why you created this based on course content. (4 Marks) 

Answer:  

Intial prompt 

The intial prompt i started with it that i told chatgbt to “Generate digital content headlines for an article about the SCC Advertising Program targeted to local graduating high school students. Make sure it is clever enough for the target audience to read, it should promise something specific and work out of context.” 

 Explanation : This prompt i chose asper my understanding of what we discussed in class on what makes a good headline , so to make sure it gives me a good headline i instructed it to give a headline in the bases of what a good headline should have which is make sure it is clever for the audience to read who are local high school graduates, i also had instructed it to have promise something specific so the audience could see the benefits just by reading the headline, I also instructed it to make sure the headline should be able to work out of context based on what I understood from the slide in my opinion  and why I did that is so that the headline would have value and to grab attention of audience. 

 b. List the final two (2) prompts you created to generate the other (2) headlines. For each, explain how you modified each including what you did in why. This must be based on class content only. (8 Marks) 

Answer:  

Prompt Created and added to redefine my headlines where “create 3 bold and engaging headline article to promote the SCC Advertising Program to high school graduates and should be digestible and fun” I modify it my adding the words “engaging and bold” then also adding “digestible and fun” because of the key elements to having a good headline is for it to be digestible to your audience and make sure it really aligns with the kind of audience you are targeting . That why as said in  class we should first know and understand the kinds of audience we targeting and example stated in class about headline being like fishing hooks  used to lure the fishes to the boat ,and we discussed some fishes might like the bait used to lure them which catches their attention while some fishes  won’t even like the bait used. So, since we are targeting local high school graduates, I had to make sure the prompts used are clever and understandable to them. 

The second prompt I created was “3 clever and bold digital content headlines that promote SCC’s Advertising Program to high school graduates. These should sound modern, goal specific, and appeal to students interested in creativity” I just modify it by adding goal specific because I see it was one of the main elements that makes a successful headline, putting what they would achieve or the benefit  of what they will get if the click  the article , I  made sure it was goal specific and focus on the local high school graduates and appeals to them. 

2. Include the three (3) headlines generated from your various prompts in ChatGPT. (3 Marks)

• Ads That Stand Out—And So Will You: Launch Your Career with SCC” 

• “Your Creativity = Your Paycheck: SCC’s Advertising Program Gets You There” 

3. What you think of the three different headline ideas generated from ChatGPT?  

Answer: 

The three different headlines  have a distinctive message  based on the prompt i kept  this message   they gave different  messaging in the headline. for the first headline is defined to me straight to the point  , it is goal specific in the sense that it states when you learn advertising you get hired so you should stay creative, which is given a reason for the creative students to continue to be who they are. They are not direct meaning it is too clever which might be that understandable to the audience aligned to this headline. 

The second Headline is really attention grabbing and contains the elements of a good headline in the sense that it has clarity, which means it is easy to understand and coveys it messages clearly in the aspect of saying that the SCC Advertising Program help student in the launching of their career. Another thing is that it is also relevant to the audience reading it who the local high school graduates and the headline is kept in the right perspective that make the student see and grab their attention which was would they want to stand out and have a good career. The headline is also engaging and luring, which is one of the most important things in a headline. It was put in a way to make it memorable by stating Ads that stand Out –And so will you. 

The third Headline also is really attention grabbing and contains the elements of a good  headline in the sense that it has clarity , which means it is easy to understand and coveys it message clearly in the aspect of saying if you are  creative that the SCC  Advertising Program can transform it into a  career. Another thing is that it is also relevant to the audience reading it who the local high school graduates and the headline is kept in the right perspective that make the student see and grab their attention which letting them know that their creativity also pays .The headline  is also engaging in the sense of phrasing ‘Your Creativity=Your Paycheck in a fun manner  and luring which is one the most important thing in a headline .It was put in a way to make it memorable and it stirs curiosity for the audience it is also promise specific stating that does who are creative and want to use it as an income  , SCC Advertising gets them there. 

4. After evaluating all of the prompts and the headlines produced, you are to select what you think (based on your class knowledge only) is:  

a. The “best” prompt you would select to use. Provide an overview and explanation on why this is the best prompt based on course content. (3 Marks)  

Answer: The Second prompt which I modified was the best for me  , because I made sure it was modern, goal specific and gives and interest to student who are interested in creativity, so by doing that ChatGPT made it more define goal specific and audience focus as it created the third headline which is the best for me. 

b. The “best” headline you would select to use. Provide an overview and explanation on why this is the best headline based on course content. (3 Marks) 

Answer: According to me the third headline is what I would select because of its unique headline format like I said before it contains all the elements of a good headline. It is first really engaging and memorable which fits the audience that we are speaking to, especially those local high school students who do not know what to do with their creativity. It is attention grabbing meaning it not giving typical headlines but making it for of equation makes it look fun. It works out of context in the sense that by just reading the phrase it is understandable of the message it is trying to convey another reason is that it is goal specific meaning it showed a defined and direct goal that SCC Advertising Program helps turn their creativity to earning money.
